RecyclePix photo sharing app rewards iOS and Android users for recycling

Greenopolis, a subsidiary of Waste Management (not the one owned by Tony Soprano), launched a cool mobile called RecyclePix, allowing users to earn real-life rewards by recycling stuff and then share their good deeds with friends across social networks. Available for iOS and Android platforms, the application is designed to inspire peers into action, while rewarding users for cleaning up the environment.

To start earning your points and making the world a better place, you simply upload a photo of yourself recycling. Moreover, points can also be earned by participating in the online community, by voting on other photos and sharing your acts of recycling on Facebook and Twitter.

Once earned, these points can be exchanged for real rewards, such as discounts and coupons for entertainment, dining, travel, and more at retailers across the nation…

Love how RecyclePix sounds and can only hope users will jump on board to help clean up the environment…
