Have you ever wished you owned a polka-dotted baboon? What about a cherry giraffe with lemon swirls? If owning these types of pets is at the top of your list of goals and ambitions like so many others, you’ll get a kick out Dream Zoo, which Zynga has just brought to iOS.
In keeping with the virtual world theme of Zynga’s other games, Dream Zoo requires players to collect and care for animals. The animals can be customized with wacky colors and designs that are sure to grab the kids’ attention. As the different animals grow up, players can go on safaris, learn about different habitats, visit friends’ zoos, and other activities. In order to succeed in the game, the zoo needs to be checked and maintained regularly, as with cities in CityVille or farms in FarmVille. Bonus points go to those who clean and feed pets as much as possible.
Dream Zoo is a completely free game for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and an Android version is on its way. The kids will be thrilled to hear this holiday season that you bought them a zoo but remember that there are in-game purchases and those rhino trousers can start to add up (I don’t know if you can buy rhino trousers but I hope you can). Plus, I don’t know about you, but I think I found my new Saturday night.
