San Francisco-based Catch.com unveiled a new feature for its note-taking service, designed to “help people be smarter and more productive.” The new Streams functionality allows users to group notes into collections to be kept as a private themed journal or shared selectively as a collaborative space.

Here’s how it works:

  • First create a note — you can add files and links to it — and “turn it” into a Stream.
  • Invite other people to join the conversation and allow them to modify/add their own notes, files and links. New members of the Stream can also invite others.

And you’re ready to go. Additionally, you’ll be able to filter through notes by order of chronology, priority and multiple hashtags.

Catch suggests using Streams for collecting information or updates related to projects and somehow we agree with that… The new Catch Notes with Streams support is available for Android, while the iOS version will be released soon.
