NetLingo: word of the day: Phonesia

NetLingo really is one of my favourite sites on the InterWeb – they seem to have a word for everything. Take this for example:
phonesia
The affliction of dialing a phone number and forgetting whom you were calling just as they answer (see also: ohnosecond). “Phonesia” also refers to the inability to remember where in the house you left your mobile phone.

Classic! How many times have you done that! Or how about being called by someone, and not being able to remember their name / where you know them from / what you spoke about last with them?!

I blame many things for this affliction – too little sleep, radio waves, the spin of the earth, and also bread. Yep, that’s right, on my list of irrational inanimate objects to blame for random things, bread is right up there. Lord knows the last thing that me and Mr Bread spoke about….!

You can read more on the excellent site that is NetLingo here.
