According to a research conducted by the price-comparison website Mobilife, iPhone users in the UK could be overpaying by several hundred pounds per year in their tariffs. After analyzing 9,453 customer bills, Mobilife has found that the average iPhone contract user pays for 662 minutes a month when most only need around 300 minutes.
Mobilife’s Alex Hurd (Head of Commercial Development) had this to say: “iPhone users account for about 29% of the UK mobile market and virtually all of them could be wasting hundreds of pounds by not checking how many minutes they actually need before they get locked into a tariff with far too many minutes, often over a long period of time.”
Current data on Mobilife’s website shows that an iPhone 4S with no upfront cost starts at 30 GBP a month with an allowance of 300 minutes. The best deal for a tariff of 600 minutes is 36 GBP a month…
