AT&T rolls out LTE in five new markets, expands coverage in two

AT&T is opening shop in a few new areas that lacked the company’s 4G LTE network. These new markets include Wichita, Kan.; Burlington, Greensboro, and Winston-Salem, N.C.; and Corpus Christi, Texas. The second largest wireless provider in the US also spread out its LTE 4G network in Charlotte, N.C., and recently launched in Buffalo, N.Y. The Death Star now has 47 markets operating on its LTE network, which is still miles behind Verizon’s 304 markets covered with LTE.

This is encouraging news for those of you who are on AT&T suffering from spotty coverage. Truth is, the company is in a rat race playing catch up to Big Red (Verizon) who is so far ahead of every major carrier when it comes to 4G LTE.

Are you one of the folks in the areas listed today to receive AT&T’s 4G LTE? If so, tell us your thoughts.
