NetLingo, apart from being one of my fave online sites, never fails to amuse me – it’s one-a-day tech phrases emails always have a comedy caper in them!This time it’s the turn of the meeting specialist – a he or she that spends more time going to meetings than doing actual work!
Actually I would add to the definition of the meeting specialist a bit more – he or she:
- probably feels they are a subject matter expert – on every subject
- will always ask a question at the end of the meeting when everyone else wants to get away
- never accepts action points
- won’t set their mobile to silent during the meeting
- will read email/texts during the meeting; and/or will sit their smirking to themselves
- may fiddle with their phone and then drop it on the floor, making a loud bang
