Looking for a device that can take a licking… and keep on ticking? Rogers has introduced 2 new devices to their lineup that should fit your needs: The Samsung Rugby A836 and ZTE Rock F165.

The Samsung Rugby is certified to U.S. Military Standard MIL-STD-810F compliance. What does that mean? In a nutshell, it can take a heck of a beating. Soak it, drop it, kick it, leave it in the baking sun… Do what you want, the device should remain A-OK. The device comes with a 1.3MP camera, 8GB expandable memory with micro SD, 3G, email, IM, HTML browser and external speaker. It is available for $149.99 on a 3-year contract.

The ZTE Rock features a 2MP camera, 2GB expandable memory, a crisp display with a resolution of 176×220… and runs on Rogers’ 3.5G HSPA network with peak download speeds of 7.2 Mbps. You can pick one of these up for $79.99 on the 3-year term.

For more info on these, and other ‘rugged’ phones from Rogers, visit the aptly named RogersRugged.com.
