The hot-new HTC One X+ is now available for pre-order in the UK with phone retailer Clove asking 474 GBP for the unlocked device. That money translates into some $764, making HTC’s latest superphone a tough sell. If it had 2GB of RAM, I would say – go for it. But since it’s “stuck” with a single gig, I suggest waiting for the LG Optimus G.

If you recall, there are just a few differences between the original One X and One X+ with the latter packing a faster 1.7GHz quad-core CPU, 64GB of built-in storage, bigger battery, while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running the show out of box (along with new version of HTC Sense 4+). Moreover, the new model also comes with a slightly different paint job, featuring red (Beats Audio?) accents.

If that’s enough for you – hop over to this page at Clove’s website to pre-order your unit today. You should get it on October 22.
