Samsung is apparently working on a cheaper version of the Galaxy Note II that will be sold in Europe. The idea is to provide customers with a big screen experience without having to pay a premium. However, this model won’t have all of the features the Galaxy Note II has — including the SPen function — to keep those who paid for the “real deal” happy. In addition, SamMobile also claims that such a device won’t use Super AMOLED screen with the Korean company opting for a cheaper solution instead.

This is all in the “rumors” phase and as I’m writing this, we don’t know when we’ll see this “Galaxy Note II Lite.” I would have to guess Samsung will have some new mobile device on display at both CES and Mobile World Congress, though you never know. The Galaxy S4 will likely be unveiled at a special event in April…
