LG announced that its L-Series of affordable smartphones has crossed the 10 million sales mark. The series includes 4 devices, three of which have been announced in February at Mobile World Congress (Optimus L3, L5 and L7); and Optimus L9 which was unveiled later in the year.

The Korean company admits this is a “modest milestone” since its arch-rival Samsung managed to move 30 million Galaxy S III units and is well on the way to hit the 10 million figure for its phablet, Galaxy Note II.

LG L-Series smartphones are available in more than 50 countries around the world, targeting low- to mid-end of the market. The cheapest of the pack, L3, comes with a QVGA (240×320 pixels) screen, whereas the best model, L9, has a qHD one (540×960 pixels).
