HTW S116 solar powered cell mobile phone gives solar power to handsetsYea, we know Motorola already patented the solar-panel LCD screen. That doesn’t mean that a solar-powered mobile phone is off-limits. HTW released their HTW S116 handset at the Chinese tradeshow, CHITEC 2007. The S116 was actually debuted at CeBIT this year, and we finally see this thing being sold in China – from HTW for about $520. We actually like the cool solar-panel look of the handset – with its 2.2 inch QVGA display, MP3 player, 1.3MP camera in a 110x52x18.5mm body. It’s nice to not have to worry about having to keep that power-adaptor to charge your cell phone. Just 1 hour in the sun will juice this baby for 30 minutes (12 hours worth of sunburn will get you a full charge).
