Yay, a small sliver of good news in what is largely financial losses and job losses at the moment… EA Mobile have managed to increase revenue by 23% in it’s Q3 which ended Dec 31 2008, resulting in a figure of $48m. Apparently Mobile accounted for 7% of revenues across all platforms.
Whilst this area of EA, and the group in general, had good revenues, the business as a whole is apparently readying for job cuts after a $641m loss in the same quarter. I guess what we don’t see it the write-downs and other costs that are occurring in the background 🙁
Well I am hoping EA (being one of the brightest lights in gaming on all-platforms) is going to be able to push through, and carrying on delivering some of the excellent stuff I’ve been playing over the last year. Count Mobile games in that too!
