Canadian cameraphone fans have reason to rejoice. Thanks to a nice little front-page cover that essentially confirms the Sony Ericsson C905 for Rogers, it looks like Rogers is set to start offering the 8-megapixel Cybershot shooter-phone in the near-term.
Rogers sends out their UR Magazine every month to their customers, letting them know of upcoming handsets and other special promotions. Gracing the most recent cover, wouldn’t you know it, is the heralded Sony Ericsson C905 Cybershot cameraphone! Sony Ericsson recently removed the C905 from its website, causing some to worry that the new cameraphone wouldn’t be making to the Great White North, but this magazine cover basically cements the C905’s future as a Rogers handset.
Word has it that Rogers will offer the Sony Ericsson C905 for $299 with one of those three-year wireless contracts that Rogers loves to push on their customers. The best we can figure for a release date would be Q2 2009 – a few months from now, hopefully.
