Xiaomi Mi3 to sport either Tegra 4 or Snapdragon 800 CPU?

Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi3 will be one of the best phones announced this year, though we guess other handset makers also be launching similar devices. Set to be unveiled later this year, it will be available in two different versions, both super-powerful. One will rock Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, whereas the another one will get its power from NVidia’s Tegra 4. In addition, both version will also come with at least 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera on the back.

According to GizChina, the processor used will depend on the network that will sell the Mi3 with China Telecom most likely offering the version with Qualcomm’s CPU. We know that Tegra 4 is the most powerful processor ever, but that doesn’t mean the Snapdragon 800 is a bad product — quite the contrary, it too is super-fast.

The unfortunate thing is that it’s likely we won’t see Xiaomi’s baby ever leaving the shores of China. Perhaps it will be introduced in Hong Kong and few neighboring countries, but I doubt it will ever be released in Europe and America. Then again, I’m sure other handset makers, like Sony, will launch devices using one of these two processors…
