Sony announced a new PS3 bundle today, one that includes 2 of most popular exclusive titles for the system. The “Playstation 3 Legacy Bundle” will retail for $299 and comes with Gran Turismo 5 XL and Infamous 2, both excellent games.
The XL edition of GT 5 comes with all of the updates and DLC for the game, a ridiculous amount of content. It’s billed as “The ultimate version of the best-selling Gran Turismo 5, with the full original version of the game, improved features and functionality from all downloadable game updates through Spec 2.0 included on the disc, as well as a voucher for more than $20 of bonus downloadable content including new cars and tracks.” Infamous 2 is the sequel to the extremely fun super powered sandbox game, Infamous. It continues the action and puts you in the shoes of a super hero (or villain -your choice!) whose actions will resonate through the massive open world of the game. Both of these games are bestsellers and extremely well reviewed. So it’s a great chance to grab them both practically for free.
The bundle comes with a slim, black PS3 with huge 500Gb hard drive “which holds up to 3750 games, 297 movies, 198,437 songs, and 80,000 photos”. If you don’t yet have a Ps3 or you’d like to upgrade to a nice new one with a huge hard drive, it’s a great time to take the leap. I’m still rocking an old fat, 80GB ‘station, so the great bundles Sony has been releasing are extremely tempting.
