FCC Document Confirms a T-Mobile Moto X

An FCC document leaked today that hints that the much speculated about Moto X will be coming to T-Mobile. Earlier reports suggested that the Moto X might not be available on T-Mobile, but a variant of Motorola’s new smartphone that appears to be compatible with T-Mobile showed up in an FCC filing, making a strong case for the device coming to “The Uncarrier” after all.

The FCC document (below) shows a Moto X variant with the AWS HSPA+ and LTE bands unique to T-Mobile’s 4G network. While this news doesn’t categorically prove that the device will be offered by T-Mobile, an unlocked version should be available on the carrier’s network.

The never-ending leaks suggest that the Moto X will be a higher mid-range device, sporting 4.5-inch 720p display, dual core 1.7GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.3 (fingers crossed on that one) and Google Now.

Motorola will finally be dropping the details of the Moto X at an event scheduled for August 1st in New York and IntoMobile will be all over it. Thankfully we’ll know the truth soon!
