Sony Honami Goes Through The FCC

As if we didn’t know the Sony Honami was well on its way, the handset just passed through the FCC.

We’ve seen a healthy amount of spec leaks for the upcoming Sony Honami, and we can expect the device to ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU and 20 megapixel camera on top of a large 1080p HD display.

The FCC filing confirms a few things we were already expecting, like Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 support. Other than that, there’s just a few FCC renders of the device, with the Honami name sprinkled throughout the filing.

The Sony Honami is set to do battle with the likes of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III and LG’s G2 handsets when it finally debuts. Sony’s latest handset lineup has been then best we’ve ever seen from the company, and the Honami clearly looks to continue that trend. Whether or not we’ll be seeing the device in the US anytime soon remains to be seen, but we can only hope it will pop up somewhere in the future.

We’ve already seen photos of the Honami, and it looks like a pretty sleek device, following the same aesthetic as the Xperia Z.

Out of the upcoming LG G2, Galaxy Note III, and Sony Honami, which would you choose?
