The leaks just keep rolling in about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III, with the latest tidbit about the mega-phone’s battery. The next Galaxy Note is going to carry a 3450 mAh battery, according to Phone Arena’s source.
The battery powering the new Note shouldn’t be surprising, as most expected a bump in batt-life. Last year’s model carried a 3100mAh battery. Every customer feels the same when it comes to having more juice to get through the day: we all need it. So keeping the tradition of improved battery life each generation is the number one feature as Samsung continues to make consumers happy.
This Fall is shaping up to be a very interesting one in regards to large phones, with the ridiculously huge 6.4-inch Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the rumored to HTC One Max. Both of the device according to rumors will carry a smaller battery than the Galaxy Note 3. The world that Android manufacturers live in seem to get more loony by the season it seems. Phones are getting larger, and becoming hard for average consumers to separate them from real tablets being sold.
I’m not sure if this is a good thing for Android as a whole because it blurs the lines too much with tablets and phones. However, if Samsung didn’t prove anything else, they showed with the original Note that folks love them some big phones. And since the OG Note, customers have continued to buy every generation in large numbers each year.
