Windows Phone Store crosses 9 million daily transactions mark

Microsoft is steadily building momentum around its Windows Phone Store. Lately, they’ve announced reaching and surpassing 9 million transactions of combined app and in-app purchases per day. That’s 270 million transactions per month or 70 million more than what was reported in June.

And that’s just a start with Redmond giant working to further grow this numbers. One way they’ll do it is by relying on carrier billing, allowing users to get some app or feature inside an app and pay for it at the end of the month as part of their mobile phone bill.

At the same time, Microsoft has started issuing unique device IDs (UDID) to new advertising partners. It is said that these UDIDs aren’t linked to particular devices and won’t give out identifiable information, though you can always opt-out from the scheme if you feel unsafe. We tend to think you’re better off leaving the things as they are to at least get more relevant ads (if you can’t avoid them).
