Sonim Land Rover S1 phone hits the FCC

We knew Sonim is partnering with Land Rover to release the uber-rugged handset. The so called Land Rover S1 is promised for this year, and now that we got the FCC approval, I guess we’ll see this baby hitting store shelves in no time. This is not to say that we’re aware of the exact release date, only to point that one important hurdle has been cleared. Now it’s all about timing and proper marketing message that will make Hummer-branded phones look like plastic toys designed as disposable goods. When it comes to rugged phone manufacturing, we believe Sonim has what it takes…
