Google has announced that most Nexus devices will be getting Android 4.4 KitKat soon, and now we know that all HTC One devices in North America, including both the Google Play and Developer Editions of the will be receiving the update in the future as well.

According to a report from Engadget, the HTC One Google Play Edition will be receiving Android 4.4 in the next 15 days, and the Developer edition will receive KitKat within the next 30 days. All remaining HTC One devices will get the update within 90 days, across all carriers. Let’s just hope that includes the Verizon variant.

HTC will still include Sense 5.5 on the HTC One, with no word yet as to how the two will be integrated.

HTC still has given no word on when Android 4.4 will roll out to global devices, but we may be seeing it land on those devices before it lands in the U.S.
