Boost Mobile is joining the phablet craze with a device of its own. Called Boost Max, it’s actually a device we know as ZTE Iconic Phablet, which the carrier will offer for $299.99 sans any strings attached. That cash gets you a massive phone with a 5.7-inch 720p HD screen, 8-megapixel rear + 1-megapixel front cameras, 1.2GHz dual-core chip, 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity support, Wi-Fi, GPS and a 3,200 mAh battery. Android 4.1 is running the show and as far as we (don’t) know, the Boost Max may never move from that version (of Google’s mobile platform).

Naturally, you’ll also want some minutes, texts and data with the Max. To that end, Boost Mobile suggests its $55 per month unlimited plan which gets cheaper the more on-time payments you make. It comes with unlimited nationwide talk and text, and 2.5GB of high-speed data each month.

Sounds cool? If so, hop over to this page at Boost Mobile’s website to grab the Max today.
