Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI v4.5.9 update for its last year’s flagship, Mi3. The new software is based on Android 4.4 KitKat, bringing along a number of Google-made enhancements and tweaks, as well as bug fixes and software updates the Chinese firm included to the mix.
The major news for Chromecast owners is that they can now connect their favorite dongle with their fancy phone and enjoy video on the big screen in their living room.
Aside from the Mi3, other Xiaomi phones are getting the same treatment, including the Redmi 1, Redmi 1S, Mi2, Mi2S and the original Mi.
As that’s usually the case with this sort of things, the update is rolled out in stages so don’t worry if you still don’t see it. You should get it any day now, just give it a week or so…
