Verizon's LG G Pad 8.3 Android 4.4.2 update rolling out as we speak

Verizon has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for its version of the LG G Pad 8.3. Aside from the changes KitKat brings to the mix, LG also included some of its own tweaks, while fixing bugs left and right.

The first thing you’ll notice — presuming your G Pad 8.3 was included in the first batch — is the inclusion of LG’s Knock Code that will make device unlocking much easier. Moreover, you’ll find that “OK Google” command now works from any app. Immersive Mode, multi-user access and print services are all included, as well.

Before tapping the “Update” button, make sure your battery is fully charged and that you have a fast Internet connection. I’m all for Wi-Fi even when your LTE signal bar suggests you’re sitting next to the cell tower. If that’s on place, feel free to proceed. 😉

Alternatively, if you still don’t see the update – worry not. It’s coming any day now. Verizon and LG can’t let everyone get the goodies at the same time as that would kill their servers, making the software unavailable to all users…
