iQOO Neo 11 Ultra is coming, and the specs are already turning heads

Most phone makers save the big battery numbers for their ultra-premium flagships. iQOO apparently didn’t get that memo. The Neo 11 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most spec-aggressive phones of the year, and it hasn’t even officially launched yet. According to Gadgets360, the phone has been confirmed for an August 18 launch in China, and the details leaking out ahead of that date are genuinely worth paying attention to.

Let’s start with the chip. The Neo 11 Ultra is confirmed to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500M, which is a performance-tuned variant of the Dimensity 9500. This is not a budget processor dressed up in marketing language. It’s a serious chip that competes directly with Qualcomm’s top-end silicon, and seeing it in the Neo lineup rather than a flagship series tells you a lot about where iQOO is positioning this phone. The Neo series has always been about punching above its price class, and this continues that tradition pretty aggressively.

Then there’s the battery. A 9,100mAh cell is a massive number, full stop. For context, most flagship phones sit somewhere between 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh. iQOO is nearly doubling that. Whether you see it as a power-user dream or a sign that the phone will be thick and heavy, it’s hard to ignore. And with fast charging almost certainly in the mix, this could be the phone that makes battery anxiety feel like a distant memory for a lot of people.

Display and design details have also been confirmed ahead of the launch date, though full specifics are still coming together. What’s clear is that iQOO is treating the Neo 11 Ultra as a proper showcase device, not just a spec sheet exercise. The Z11S is also confirmed to launch alongside it on August 18, giving buyers two options at what should be different price points.

So why does any of this matter beyond the numbers? Because iQOO has been quietly building a reputation for delivering flagship-level performance at prices that don’t require a second mortgage. The Neo 11 Ultra looks like the most complete version of that argument yet. A top-tier chip, a battery that could last two days for most users, and a launch strategy that pairs it with a more affordable sibling all point to a brand that’s figured out what value actually means in 2026.

  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 9500M confirmed
  • Battery: 9,100mAh, with fast charging expected
  • Launch date: August 18 in China
  • Launching alongside: iQOO Z11S
  • Display and design details confirmed ahead of launch

The big question now is pricing and whether any of this reaches global markets. iQOO has been expanding its international footprint, but China launches don’t always translate to a worldwide rollout quickly. Still, even if you’re outside China, this phone sets a benchmark. When a mid-range device ships with a 9,100mAh battery and a chip this powerful, it puts pressure on every other brand in the segment. That’s good for consumers no matter which phone they end up buying.
