So you’re pumped about the Motorola CLIQ, and are familiar with the $199 price-point at launch on T-Mobile. But what if you don’t want to be locked-in to a 2-year contract? Bet you were wondering what the off-contract price is going to be, right? Well, the good folks over at AndroidAndMe did a little sleuthing and received this answer from T-Mo:

The CLIQ will be available for $199.99 with a two year service agreement. Additional pricing levels vary based on the customer’s tenure, but these pricing levels are less expensive than purchasing a new phone without a two year contract. In the case of the CLIQ, the no-contract price is $449.99.

$449.99 huh. Seems a little steep, but in all honesty, sounds about the norm for an off-contract price. Would you be willing to lay down that much cash-ola for the off-contract CLIQ?

Note: T-Mobile also confirmed that customers ordering during the pre-sale period will receive their CLIQ within days of the order being received. With the device going all official on October 19th… Folks could have the CLIQ powered up and good to go by the 21st or so. If you’d rather not order via the pre-sale, the CLIQ goes in stores and online on November 2nd.
