Samsung Galaxy S clears FCC with AT&T bands

It’s not much of a surprise but the Federal Communications Commission has cleared the awesome Samsung Galaxy S and it will be capable of using AT&T’s 3G network.

If you remember, the Galaxy S sports a drop-dead gorgeous 4-inch “super” AMOLED capacitive touch screen. We’ve nabbed some good photos and videos of this thing at CTIA but it’s really tough to properly convey how good it looks. Besides a pretty screen, there’s a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, Android 2.1 and all the high-end features you expect from this type of device.

While clearing the FCC doesn’t mean AT&T will offer the device directly, it is a good sign that the carrier’s Android lineup will get better. Check out the hands-on video below and let us know what you think.
