As expected, the myTouch 3G Slide is now available on T-Mobile in white, black, and red. It’s a solid update on the original myTouch, also made by HTC, and includes a physical slide-out keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, 3.4″ HVGA touchscreen, optical trackpad, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Android 2.1 with Sense. There are a few signature features on the device, like dedicated key for voice dictation and web searches, as well as a myFaves app for storing pictures and contacts in the cloud.
I’ve yet to lay hands on this bad boy myself, but the reviews have been good. Considering the other new Android handsets on T-Mobile are the Behold II, Cliq XT and soon the Garminphone, the myTouch 3G Slide will likely remain the T-Mobile’s flagship for the foreseeable future. For those pinching pennies, T-Mobile is still offering device financing – a stroke of genius if I say so myself.
