Thanks Darla Mack, I didn’t realize until now!

Nokia New Year’s Eve <– This is the full blown site you visit on your computer

They also have a WAP site at http://mobile.nokianewyearseve.com/ (have fun with that all you people with T9 haha! qwerty for life!)

Here are some screenshots to tide you over:

First you have to pick a location:

Newyear0125

Then you can do a variety of things, I’ll touch upon an artist and the downloads. Watch just tells you what channel to watch to see the event as it unfolds. Apparently Dick Clark is still alive:

Newyear0127

Nice amount of info, short paragraph but it gets the job done:

Newyear0128

And this is the most disappointing part of it all:

Newyear0130

The "real tones" are two very basic ring tones. One is a count down, you know 10, 9 … Happy New Year! The other is just the sounds of fireworks.

Would it have killed the guys behind this WAP page to try and obtain free ring tones from said artists preforming? You know how many kids would be visiting this website if they can have their phone scream "move bitch get out the way bitch" from Ludacris for free?! Just a thought.
