Once again, Samsung goes with its experiments. Lately they’ve showcased the SGH-P210 model, a dual-mode handset that works with both carriers’ and WLAN networks. The idea is to save on monthly phone bill by using affordable VoIP services. This is not a new concept, and there are specific applications for various smartphone models that do the same thing. However, this is the first feature (non smart) phone I’m aware of that does the same thing — so it IS kind a new concept to bring the dual-mode telephony to regular users.
