It looks like Sanyo is going to try one more round with their slim, entry-level Katana flipper. The Sanyo SCP-6650 Katana II is destined for Sprint’s network and looks fairly identical to its predecessor. However, the new version sports a larger external display, 2.5mm headphone jack, and shaves 2mm off the sides and 4mm off the top (leaving the thickness the same). The Sanyo SCP-6650 Katana brings the same Bluetooth and camera offerings as the current model.
Sprint has yet to announce the new fashionably slim flip phone, but if the FCC says it’s good, then we can expect an announcement sometime soon (June?).
