AT&T data plan for the Apple iPhone may be dubbed the iPlanBoy Genius got word from a “pretty high up source” that the AT&T data plan for the Apple iPhone may be dubbed the “iPlan.” We’re not sure if the “iPlan” moniker is an internal reference, or if it will become the official data plan’s title, but we can tell you that the data plan will run you an additional $34.99-$44.99 per month. For the extra coin, you get unlimited data, and either 2,000 or unlimited SMS text messages.

That’s a pretty hefty price when you consider that you will likely be adding a $50 monthly voice plan. After taxes and fees, expect to pony up a C-note every month. But, after waiting this long, and saving up the cheese to grab your own iPhone, you already expected that, right? You did remember that you will have a 2-year monthly payment, didn’t you? At least we’ll get some included text messages.
