iPhone dead stuck pixel

If you are unfortunate enough to have a dead or stuck pixel on your iPhone, now is the time to act. A certain Dr. Macenstein says that an Apple Store Genius has said that there is no official dead/stuck pixel policy for the iPhone (as there is for Apple’s monitors and laptops). If you have that dreaded pixel defect, you should take it in and seek a replacement immediately, before Apple gets official and gives you some cockamamy story about a “few” dead pixels being completely normal.

Not sure if you have a dead pixel? Turn the brightness all the way up on your iPhone and point your Safari browser to www.macenstein.com/default/iphone_pixel_test.html

Make sure you have brightness set to 100%.

The thing is, if you have a dead pixel, you really should get to an Apple Store as soon as possible. Once Apple enacts their “pixel policy” you’re more likely to get some official “that’s normal and completely within our acceptable limits” spiel then a brand new iPhone. Dr. Macenstein was able to get his stuck-pixel afflicted iPhone exchanged for a brand new one.

Into iPhone‘s in-house iPhone has proven free of these defects, we hope you are too!
