Amp’d Mobile extends service termination deadline – the dream dies on July 31st

AmpIt looks like Amp’d Mobile has changed their service termination deadline – “Amp’d is potentially suspending US operations on July 31st.” What’s this “potentially” talk about? Could it have something to do with the updated FAQ mentioning “discussions with several parties” regarding a possible buy-out of the defunct MVNO?

The previous shut-off date seems to still be in effect for customer service, so don’t go calling Amp’d expecting a friendly conversation with a CS representative.

We’re still scratching our heads over how Amp’d managed to finagle yet another stay of execution from Verizon, but it’s undoubtedly good news for Amp’d subscribers. So, go out there and port your numbers before its really too late – you still have a few days left!
