Discovery Networks Discovery Channel and Animal Planet launch mobile content on Vodafone and Orange UKThere’s nothing like watching a bunch of melodramatic bike builders and graphic shark attacks to help you relax on your lunch break. We can’t get enough of the Discovery Channel and Animal Planet’s mesmerizing programming, and it seems that the UK feels the same. Lucky UK subscribers on Vodafone or Orange networks will soon be seeing new mobile-content from Discovery Networks – Discovery Turbo (Discover Channel’s mobile-content channel) and the Animal Planet. The mobile video-content will be offered through Vodafone and Orange’s Sky Mobile service.

Discovery Turbo will be serving up 20-minute clips of shows like The Garage and American Chopper – the shows will be updated every weekday and served on-demand. The Animal Planet will be offering one hour’s worth of short segments per week (from shows like Meerkat Manor and Crocodile Hunter Diaries) – updated weekly and on-demand .

Aww, those meerkat’s are so darned cute. Wait, uh, those choppers are awesome – yea, that’s what we meant to say.
