Fire up the rumor mill – Orange may have clinched iPhone exclusivity contract in France

iPhone may be going to France TelecomAhh, now that’s more like it. It almost feels like it’s been too long since we’ve heard anything from the European iPhone rumor mill. The latest bit of hearsay from Le Figaro pins the French iPhone exclusivity ribbon on France Telecom’s Orange network.

As these things go, Orange has denied any official deal with Apple for the sought-after rights to distribute the iPhone in France. But Le Figaro “feels” that the iPhone could launch on Orange’s network. Speculation and a lot of finger-crossing puts the official Apple-iPhone-on-Orange announcement at the end of September, during an Apple conference in Paris.

Apple and Orange, it just “feels” right, doesn’t it? Momma always told us to get our daily serving of fruit.

Oh yea, did we mention that Apple has not officially announced any iPhone-related news for Europe? Well, they haven’t – this is still all rumor.
