Sprint logoSprint’s push for total WiMAX coverage in the US is getting another boost. The compay has announced that they will earmark $5 billion for the development of the WiMAX (XOHM?), network through 2010. It looks like Sprint’s partner Clearwire will also be lending a hand in footing the bill.

With Sprint expecting to see positive free cash flow by 2010 and an advanced, high-speed, wireless network that will eclipse all other carrier’s offerings, it makes sense that the company would bring some serious cash to the table. After all, 100 million potential subscribers is nothing to scoff at.
