Boost Mobile officially announces Motorola i425t for iDEN networkBoost Mobile has gone official with their new, slim, and stylish candybar – the Motorola i425t handset for the Boost Mobile iDEN network. The sleek iDEN phone gives up some mainstream features in exchange for that cool design and the legendary PTT functionality. But did Motorola really have to do away with the camera and Bluetooth – we could have done without the camera, but we really like our Bluetooth connectivity.

Still, you get integrated GPS and instant messaging packaged into one of the best iDEN phones we’ve seen to date.  Oh, and that titanium gray/black slate color combo just oozes sexiness.

Pick up your own Motorola i425t for the Boost Mobile network next month – for $59.99 (which includes a $5 call credit).

Do NOT buy this phone…at least not from Boost Mobile. Besides, they don’t even offer it anymore…at least not that I saw on their website as of today (4/11/2009). I got mine from Walmart for $19.95 and with the $5 dollar call credits too. This phone has a horribly small screen and very bad color/graphics, which you can’t personalize. It also scratches very easily….and I’m not hard on a cell phone at all.
I recommend the Boost Mobile Unlimited talk/text/web & walkie-talkie for $50 a month. Especially since you don’t have to sign a contract but I would recommend trying to find a compatible iDEN phone from Nextel, on the web or from your local classifieds.
