Are British people addicted to their mobile phones or what? According to the report from UK phone regulator Ofcom, mobile phone calls now account for more than a third of all time spent on the phone.
Last year mobiles accounted for 82 billion minutes, out of an overall total of 234 billion. In addition, starting from Q1 2007, there are more UK households which are now mobile-only in terms of their phone. Or to put it perspective, roughly 9% of UK households rely solely on a mobile, while 7% only have a traditional landline phone.
