I went to Finland and all I got was a venereal disease called Nsyndrome

Props to the guys in Nokia Multimedia’s Online Marketing Team. This latest attempt at creating a viral campaign called Nsyndrome is quite hysterical and I honestly like it more than jealous computers. The premise is easy, the N95 is such a converged device that it soon becomes apart of you.

I can fully understand this sickness. My first S60 device was the E61. The keyboard was great, I would write myself little notes to remember things, but I could live without it if I had to. Then came the E61i, just like the E61, but with a 2 megapixel camera. I found myself taking many pictures and short movies instead of notes to remember things and people around me.

After coming to Finland I was given a Nokia N95 and at first I was a little hesitant to love it, I’m an Enterprise (E Series) fan boy. Slowly, but surely, the device grew on me. The GPS has been critical in preventing me from getting lost in Helsinki. The web browser is useful for looking up time tables for public transportation. The 5 megapixel camera is absolutely brilliant for taking photos of signs I don’t understand and pestering my Finnish friends for a translation, places that are so beautiful I want to remember them and video of things no one wants to talk about after 10 rounds of drinks and 10 minutes in the sauna.

The N95 is something that has become apart of my life and I simply can’t leave the house without it. I have Nsyndrome.

There are about 12 videos so far, you can watch them all on youtube, a few pictures which would make fantastic wallpapers (please?) and a contact page so you can tell people you are afflicted with the Nsyndrome.
