LG KU990 Viewty YouTube phone coming to UK on Vodafone in mid-October

Those lucky Brits get all the fun. They get first crack at the HTC Kaiser TyTN II, they might get a 3G version of the iPhone, and now they’re the first out of the gates with the new LG KU990 “Viewty.” You know, the “Viewty” – that HSDPA-enabled, 5 megapixel camera-toting, touchscreen monster that LG is putting up directly against Apple’s iPhone. Yea, we’re scratching our heads over the name too – leave it to a South Korean company to come up with a name like “Viewty.” The LG Viewty should be hitting UK shores by mid-October, according to LG.

Regardless of the funky-sounding name, the LG KU990 Viewty will be using all that high-speed 3G goodness to get jiggy with YouTube – with the manual-focusing, image stabilized, 120fps video recording, 5-megapixel camera bringing high-quality pictures and videos to the game. YouTube will never be the same.

We’re expecting Vodafone to carry this “YouTube Phone.”

I know it sounds quite awful, but I think their intention was at least interesting, as the name obviously comes from “view”+”beauty”. Just a thought.
