Video content from CNN and ABC News now available for BlackBerry users

In order to emphasize that their devices are now multimedia capable, RIM has partnered with CNN and ABC News to offer their video content to BlackBerry owners. It’s required that your CrackBerry runs OS 4.2 or higher — i.e. that you own one of the latest RIM’s devices. The strange thing about the whole idea, is that RIM expects us to rely on a way-too-slow EDGE network to download videos. Or maybe they want us to use a WiFi which is present in some of their device. Or… we’ll have a 3G BlackBerry soon? Now that’s a speculation, but I’m sure many of you push-email addicts would appreciate such thing…
