Our motto at IntoMobile is that we do not create rumors and I’m not about to break that self imposed law. What I will say I’m doing however is making a prediction of a feature inside the next iPhone firmware update. Mac users should know by now that the next version of Leopard is due out by the end of this month and one of the features demoed by Steve himself was Web Clip Widgets. Here is a video showing it off:

My prediction is this: at the next Apple event (either the OS X 10.5 launch or after that) there will be an iPhone update released that enables OS X users (maybe Windows users too?) to create widget clips that they can take with them onto their iPhone.
