HTC Touch Dual with numeric keypad on Orange UKApparently, our Brit-friends over yonder aren’t too fond of the SureType-esque, 20-key, half-QWERTY keypad on the HTC Touch Dual. MoDaCo is reporting that Orange UK will be launching a 16-key variant of the HTC Touch Dual with a numeric-only keypad.

Orange UK wants to slide in the HTC Touch Dual beneath the full-QWERTY smartphones in their lineup. What exactly is Orange UK targeting with the HTC Touch Dual? We’re not sure. It’s something of a half-breed smartphone that doesn’t really have a clear competitor, but with a numeric-keypad it might just be aiming at the Nokia N81 that Orange refuses to sell.

20-key or 16-key? SureType semi-QWERTY or numeric keypad? Which do you prefer?
