Would you like some WinMo6 with that bowl of Pad Thai? Well, thanks to Samsung Singapore, you definitely can have the best of both worlds – the newest Windows Mobile OS and some delicious noodles.

Samsung Singapore has announced that owners of the Samsung SGH-i600 WM5 smartphone can bring their aging device into the Samsung Service Center at “Plaza Singapura” for a free Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard upgrade. The free WinMo6 updates will start on October 13 in Singapore, and will be made available for the rest of South East Asia through the end of the year. If you’re reading this from your desk in South East Asia, and you’ve got that longing feeling for a fresh new WinMo OS on your Samsung i600, mark your calendar for October 13 – and plan a trip to the Samsung Service Center. Unfortunately, South East Asians won’t have the convenient online update-access that the European set enjoys.
