Two people are essentially saying the same thing. First off is Matt, relatively new to the blogging scene, he runs Nokia Geek. After pointing out a few of the minor hickups of the device in his review he still can’t help but come to the conclusion that the N95 8 GB is the best device to ever come out of Nokia. Now what sort of an authority is Matt? He uses his device more than anyone I know, myself included. He can kill a smartphone’s battery by lunch time on a consistent basis, something I only manage to do once or twice a week. His favorite part of the N95 8GB? The search application, which even I admit is something I simply couldn’t shut up about after playing with for the first time in London.

Next up is Steve Litchfield. Older than Matt and much more experienced, he has been using PDA’s since before they were called PDA’s and before I was even born. For him to say the N95 8GB is the best device out there on the market says a lot. This is a guy who would leave you physically handicapped and emotionally scared for life if you took away his E90. Ask him about the N95 8GB however and this is what you will hear: “Is this the best smartphone ever made? Yes. You could even drop the ‘smart’ bit and call it the best phone ever made.”

I’m anxiously awaiting my review unit to arrive.

it is just missing a full qwerty keyboard.

im sure they can fit it, since my se. p990 has a small but usuable one

  • TB

Oh yes I love this N95 8GB it be my next pho… sorry smartphone and I call it the best phone ever made.

sry alberto to say if you happy with p990 you had be in heaven to use one real smartphone as N95 8GB or why not E90 with keyboard.

    Cheers and great post Stefan

  • alberto

    no not my point man

i had a p990 and the keyboard was small

    so im saying,

they could have fit a full qwerty on the p990 even though it would be squished like my p990′s.

i have an n95 (not 8 gb) and i love it….but i really want to upgrade to an e90…..

just for the keyboard even though i will be loosing a great cam.

    lol

  • qpr

STEVE LICHFIELD? MR SYMBIAN? Said the N95 is the best?
    OH, I’am shocked!

  • Viipottaja

qpr, name a better one then. :)

  • Matt

On what authority is Matt? On authority of my awesomeness, that’s what!

    Seriously, thanks for the mention.

  • TB

sry Alberto and about E90 it have one real good camera
and yes GPS too , I like also E90 (like a littel PC in your pocket)

  • Ozair Khan

nope i stil think e90 is the best smart phone ever.

  • Viipottaja

“and the pictures taken by it’s camera are the same quality as with my canon IXUS 65 with 6 mp”

Quick! Somebody take the magic mushrooms away from this guy!!

  • Stefan Constantinescu

ignore him, do not feed the troll

  • Ultra

But why oh why is it so ugly? ;-) It looks much better in black, but personally I still think it looks like some Chinese rip-off. Plus ugly old-fashioned menus. Call me shallow, but those are the only two reasons that kept me from buying it so far.

  • Viipottaja

    You are shallow.

  • Barry

    very shallow

  • Topy

N95 8GB is one of those phones that actually looks better when you get it to your hands so i do really like the looks of it, but no means i can see if you think its ugly it’s not even a close of sexy or fashion phone.

The thing that botters me (call me shallow  ) is the oldish menus for now functionality wins it hands down, but hopefully it will get better with new vers(as it seems).

    The greatest complement I can give the N95 9GB is this . . .

It’s the most trustworthy phone ever. I’ve taken this thing to hell and back in the last two weeks and not once did it let me down.

    Trustworthy and Honest . . .

But still not as sexy as an iPhone.

  • gowild00

how can a phone without a full qwerty keyboard be the best smartphoen ever? typically smartphone users expect to be able to do lots of email, enter data into the pda portion of the device, etc. – doing that with the “phone pad” is crap -

  • benito

yeah it’s not as good as iphone
depends on what you need

  • Matt

I use the e-mail daily on the 8gb without any issues. If it’s that much of an issue, get a bluetooth keyboard!

  • Chris P

I’d agree it is the best phone/smartphone ever, to the people that are whineing about lack of querty, you can get an E90. The E90 and almost all querty phones, for me and most people are too bulky (mainly because of the keyboard), whilst the N95 8gb is a reasonable size.

Once/if Nokia sort out their OS, make it ‘look’ and work a little slicker a la iphone, and if possible extend the battery even longer it would be totally faultless in my eyes.

  • Chris P

PS (I am talking about the next gen follow up to the N95)

  • Angelina

Evry body have diffrent taste about look , In my eyes N95 8GB is the sexiest ever made phone.
Iphone look moore as a thin pancake but with no taste of jam or any good sugar.

Nokia N95 8GB are more tasteful of love and with even a brain that iphone complete miss.

  • Thomson

Yes this is the best phone ever made

  • Michell Bak

Sony Ericsson P5 will wipe out all the competition!

  • Jeff

Can only agree that Nokia N95 8GB are the best phone ever.

    Cheers

ps Michell dont be  after you use worlds higest radiation phones from SE ds

  • JK

but….no lens cover…n..who cares about memory card slot(ok)….but that lens should hav been covered….dats da best part of my n95(advantage)/… :???:

  • bahrani

so i want to buy. but i dont know
    what to buy ? e90 or 95 black ?

  • bahrani

i like the 95 for its large screen
and i like the 95 for the huge memory and the keyboard

  • Stefan Constantinescu

I would say N82 now to be honest with you :-)

  • bahrani

im going for n95 black . it has a great screen, huge 8 gb memory . and tv out. nothing can beat that . i can live without the keyboard.

  • deez18

This is madness. Everytime nokia releases a new phone they release another better phone after that(too soon)
N95 >>> N95 8GB( It’s better. We all Know it. 128MB RAM) >>>N82(Faster and xeneon flash). I beginnig to hate Nokia

  • Chris P

Tusho – I think you are confusing the N95 and N95 8Gb, the N95 doesnt have the best build quality (wobbly slider and fugly!), the N95 8Gb was essentially a ‘fixed’ N95, its build quality is far far better.

The link you posted isnt a Nokia design, its a photoshop thankfully!:)

  • franky C

love this phone .. love this phone .. i worship this phone. . . lotsa features lotsa features …. .. .. ! its the smartest phone ever built .. . for now..

  • rez

Yes it is the best the n95 8gb i can’t leave it!
