Beautiful Sony Ericsson K1i concept

Now I’m sure many of you guys and gals will agree the image above looks cool and kinda familiar. But this time it’s not my intent to talk about Sony Ericsson’s future devices. Yeah, I do hope they’ll make something similar to the iPhone while keeping their platform (UIQ on top of Symbian OS) widely open.

I wanted to point that the clever designer behind this concept realized something I’ve been thinking about for some time. In all its smartphones, Sony Ericsson should put Walkman as yet another application! I don’t necessarily want to buy the W960i — all I want is that uber-cool media player. The older non-Walkman UIQ 3 smartphone like M600i, P990i and P1i come with the crappy media player, which for instance can’t handle podcasts properly. Why oh why wouldn’t Sony Ericsson bundle or at least allows us to install the Walkman software on their smartphones? We WILL install some other media player nevertheless (or at least that’s me)…

Anyway, enough for today — it’s Friday and I gotta run outside. The K1i concept is from Esato forums and I’ve just used it to rant about Sony Ericsson, hoping someone there is listening. :)
