Apologies if you have already seen this elsewhere, but I thought it worth listing (especially because I just installed the app on my BBerry!). There are a bunch of features available, as Facebook states on their site:

Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones gives you wireless access to:

  • Home screen notifications so you know when you have a new Facebook event (like a new wall post or message)
  • The full text of new messages or wall posts, who’s poking you, new photo tags and friend requests
  • Your status and the status of your friends
  • All of your Facebook friends
  • Photo-sharing – simply snap a picture with your BlackBerry smartphone’s camera, then post it to Facebook with one click; you can even tag your friends
  • The Facebook experience you’re already familiar with, optimized for and integrated with your BlackBerry smartphone

You can also take a look at things from the BlackBerry perspective, here.

Personally I think it’s a neat little app, giving you the kind of quick access you want when on the move. By my reckoning, that now brings the number of platforms that Facebook is available on to at least four:

  • Web(site)
  • Mobile (site)
  • iPhone-optimised (site)
  • BlackBerry (application)

Could there be more on the way…….?

As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas! He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to 'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device) isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question of why you continue to use it... His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the occasional look at devices.
