Bob Iannucci is the new Chief Technology Officer of Nokia. Between his work at NRC, IBM and DEC the man has seen a lot. He likens the mobile space right now to the PC world of the early 80′s. This is definitely a must read interview to truly appreciate the new mission Nokia is currently on. He recognizes phones are becoming commodities and that the future of the internet is hyper personalization. He recognizes today’s displays are too small and the future is IP connected displays everywhere, something I truly believe in. Batteries are horrible, nanotechnology like super conductors will help that, wireless charging is something they have have cooking in the labs and much more exciting stuff.
